Pasta Casserole

  • mozzarella(fresh)
  • Parmesan cheese
  • butter
grain
  • 1 packagerigatoni
pantry staple
  • red sauce with meat
other
  • pesto

Instructions

  1. Prepare your favorite red sauce with meat and refrigerate until completely cool.
  2. Cook the package of rigatoni noodles SUPER al dente.
  3. Cool the noodles under cold water and add them to your sauce.
  4. Butter a 9x13 baking dish very well.
  5. Add half of the pasta with sauce mixture to the dish.
  6. Cover with fresh mozzarella and layer pesto.
  7. Add the remaining pasta and sauce mixture on top.
  8. Top with Parmesan cheese.
  9. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
  10. Before baking, remove from fridge at least an hour prior.
  11. Bake at 375°F, covered, for 30 minutes then uncovered for 20 minutes or until bubbly.
  12. Alternatively, if making right before dinner, bake uncovered for 20 to 30 minutes.
