Chewy Gingersnaps

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cupbutter(at room temperature)

  • 2 1/4 cupflour
pantry staple
  • 1/4 cupmolasses
  • 2 teaspoonbaking soda
  • 2 tspginger
  • 1 teaspooncinnamon
  • 1/4 tspallspice
  • granulated sugar
  • 1 cupbrown sugar

Instructions

  1. Cream (mix) together butter and brown sugar. Mix in molasses and egg till well combined.
  2. Stir in flour, baking soda, salt, ginger, cinnamon and cloves.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill for at least an hour (I usually chill overnight).
  4. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  5. Scoop out dough with a medium-sized cookie disher (about 1½ tablespoons of dough each) and roll in granulated sugar. Place on baking sheets.
