Yield: Makes about 50 cookies


Ingredients

- 1 largeegg yolk

- 1 cupbutter(softened)

- 2 cupsall-purpose flour
pantry staple
- 1 cupsugar
- 1/2 tspsalt
- coarse sugar
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
- Add butter and mix until crumbly.
- Add egg yolk and mix to form a dough.
- Wrap dough in plastic and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Roll dough out and cut into shapes.
- Place on baking sheet and sprinkle with coarse sugar.
- Bake for 17-20 minutes until lightly browned.
