Super Moist & Vanilla & Black Sesame Swirl Banana Bread

  • ½ tspground cinnamon
  • ½ cupwhite sugar
  • 1 tspsalt(fine)
  • 1 tspbaking soda
  • ½ cupextra virgin olive oil

  • black sesame seeds(optional to sprinkle onto of loaf)
  • 1 tablespoonvanilla bean paste or extract
  • 3 tablespoonsblack sesame paste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. Mix Dry: In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. Mix Wet: In a large bowl, whisk sugars and eggs until smooth. Stir in buttermilk (or yogurt), vanilla, mashed bananas, and olive oil.
  4. Combine: Gently fold dry mixture into wet mixture until just combined (don’t overmix).
  5. Swirl: divide batter into two and mix 3 tablespoons of black sesame paste into one bowl.
  6. Bake: Pour batter into pan alternating between regular and black sesame. Bake ~55–65 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool: Let rest in pan 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
