Blistered Green Beans With Fried Shallots

Ingredients

  • green beans
  • shallots
pantry staple
  • salt
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • red pepper flakes
other
  • capers(chopped)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Add green beans and let them cook without stirring for a few minutes to develop black spots.
  3. Stir in shallots and continue to cook until the shallots are crispy.
  4. Season with salt, red pepper flakes, and chopped capers.
  5. Serve warm.

The charring gives the green beans a smoky dimension, complementing their sweet snap.
