Hrenovuha (Horseradish-Infused Vodka)

Ingredients

  • 1 piecehorseradish root(fresh)

  • 1 litervodka(good quality)

Instructions

  1. Use a sharp potato or Y-Peeler to ribbon and make strips of both the lemon and the horseradish.
  2. Combine the lemon ribbons, horseradish ribbons, and vodka in a large container.
  3. Seal the container and let it infuse for 4 to 6 days.
  4. Strain the infused vodka to remove the lemon and horseradish ribbons before serving.

The pairing of lemon and horseradish mellows the harshness of the vodka.
