Baked Brie Topped with Fried Dates

Yield: 4-6 servings
Ingredients

- 1 teaspoonorange zest
- 2 tablespoonsorange juice
- 1 tablespoonfresh herbs (mint, parsley, cilantro)(chopped)
- 6medjool dates(cut into quarters)

- 250 gramsBrie cheese
pantry staple
- 2 tablespoonsextra-virgin olive oil
- 1/4 teaspooncinnamon
- salt
Instructions
- Heat the oven to 400°F or 205°C.
- Slice the top off the block of Brie. I like to use floss for this, go around the block then pull the floss across the cheese. A knife will do the job as well.
- Place the Brie on a baking dish and bake for 5 to 7 minutes, until melted.
- In the meantime, heat the oil to a pan on medium heat. Add the dates, sizzle each side for 1-2 minutes.
- Take the pan off heat, add the orange zest, cinnamon, orange juice, salt and herbs.
- Top the Brie off with fried dates and serve with bread on the side.
