  • 1 tablespoonfish sauce

Instructions

  1. Thinly slice the beef to 1/8 inch or less, ensuring it's chilled for easier slicing.
  2. In a bowl, combine minced lemongrass, garlic, sugar, fish sauce, soy sauce, vegetable oil, chili flakes, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add the sliced beef to the marinade and mix well. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat a grill or nonstick pan over high heat.
  5. Cook the beef in batches to avoid overcrowding, ensuring each piece is charred and cooked through.
  6. Serve the beef over vermicelli noodles or rice, or use it as a filling for salad rolls.

My notes

For the best flavor, use a mortar and pestle to crush the lemongrass and garlic.
