Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced onions to the skillet and stir to coat with the oil.
  3. Season with salt and black pepper.
  4. Cook the onions, stirring occasionally, for about 10-15 minutes until they are soft and golden brown.
  5. Stir in the fresh thyme leaves and cook for another 2 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and serve warm as a side dish or a topping.
