Crab and Shrimp Cakes

Ingredients

produce
  • 3 tbspchives(finely chopped)
  • 2 tbsplemon zest
  • 1 tbsplemon juice
protein
  • 2eggs(slightly beaten)
  • 1/2 lbshrimp(peeled + cleaned)
  • 1 lbcrab meat(jumbo lump if available)
grain
  • 1 cupbreadcrumbs
pantry staple
  • salt(to taste)
  • pepper(to taste)

Instructions

  1. Combine all of the above ingredients gently - try not to break up the crab meat.
  2. Shape into burger sized patties.
  3. Fry in canola oil or clarified butter until crusty and shrimp are pink.
  4. Serve with remoulade, aioli, or tartar sauce.
