Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Prepare the pie crust and chill in the refrigerator.
- Peel, core, and slice the apples.
- In a large bowl, mix the apple slices with lemon juice, sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Roll out the pie dough and place in a pie pan.
- Fill with apple mixture and dot with butter.
- Roll out the top crust and place over the filling, sealing the edges.
- Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
- Bake for 45 to 50 minutes until the crust is golden brown.
- Cool before serving.
