Cinnabon Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients

  • 1 cupwarm milk(105 to 110°F)
  • 8 tablespoonsbutter(softened)
  • 1/4 cupcream cheese(2 ounces)

  • 4 cupsall-purpose flour
  • 2 lbsflour(updated from 1-2 lbs)

  • ·1/8 teaspoonsalt
  • 1/2 cupsugar
  • ·1 teaspoonsalt
  • 1 cupbrown sugar(packed)
  • 2 1/2 tablespoonscinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cupspowdered sugar
  • 1/4 ounceactive dry yeast(quick)
  • 1/2 teaspoonvanilla extract

Instructions

  1. For the rolls, dissolve the yeast in the warm milk in a large bowl.
  2. Add sugar, margarine, salt, and eggs. Mix well.
  3. Add flour and knead the dough into a smooth ball.
  4. Let rise until the dough has doubled in size.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Roll the dough and spread margarine, then sprinkle with cinnamon mixture.
  7. Roll up and cut into 12 rolls.
  8. Let rise for 30 minutes.
  9. Bake rolls and prepare icing with cream cheese, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar.
  10. Spread icing over baked rolls.

My notes

Use rapid rise yeast in basic dough setting. Changed amount of flour. Substituted margarine with butter. Used quick 1/4-ounce package active dry yeast. Tried with different rising and dough settings.
