Pickled Red Onions

Ingredients

  • 1red onion(thinly sliced)
pantry staple
  • 1/2 cupapple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoonraw sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoonssalt
  • 1 cupwater(medium to hot)

Instructions

  1. Slice the red onions as thin as you can. Using a mandolin is best.
  2. Cram sliced red onions in your jar of choice.
  3. In a bowl combine vinegar, salt, sugar, and warm to hot water and stir until sugar dissolves. This is your pickling mixture.
  4. Pour over your sliced onions, making sure they are immersed in the liquid!
  5. Let them set for an hour.
  6. Once done cover and store in the fridge for up to three weeks.
