Apple Pie

Ingredients

  • 6 cupsapples(sliced, peeled)
  • 1 tbsplemon juice

  • 2 tbspbutter

  • 2 tbspflour
  • pie dough(double-crust)

  • 1 tspcinnamon(ground)
  • 1 cupsugar
  • 1/4 tspnutmeg(ground)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss sliced apples with lemon juice, sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg until coated.
  3. Roll out half of the dough to fit the pie pan. Transfer to the pan.
  4. Fill with apple mixture and dot with butter.
  5. Roll out the remaining dough to place on top. Seal and flute the edges.
  6. Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
  8. Cool on a wire rack before serving.
