Ingredients

produce
  • celery
  • sage
  • carrots

Instructions

  1. Remove turkey from package, rinse and pat dry.
  2. Use olive oil to coat whole turkey.
  3. Season with onion powder, salt, pepper, paprika, sage.
  4. Place carrots and celery on the baking pan, place turkey on top of vegetables or on a rack over the vegs.
  5. Let sit in fridge uncovered to dry out skin for crispier skin after roasting.
  6. Bring turkey out 1 hr before roasting.
  7. Preheat to 450.
  8. Roast for 18 mins breast-side down.
  9. Turn turkey breast-side up.
  10. Roast 20-30 mins until browned.
  11. Turn temp down to 350.
  12. Continue roasting until the thermometer reads 165.
  13. Let rest for 15-20 mins before carving.
